Dr Rebecca Mohr-Bell - PhD
ArGyll Consulting is owned and managed by Rebecca Mohr-Bell. I am an agricultural economist with over 8 years experience in analysis of production and sustainability options, policy analysis and strategic planning for industry and regional development.
I have a Bachelor in Agricultural Economics from the University of Queensland and completed my Phd in Economics at CQ University in 2015 but my passion for agriculture first developed as a fourth generation member of a farming family producing beef and wool in northern New South Wales and western Queensland.
My technical expertise in agricultural and resource economics has developed from roles with the Queensland Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, the United States Department of Agriculture and in local government.
In these roles I have:
led projects to provide objective business performance analysis to beef and sugar producers
evaluated systems for improving natural resource management
developed a multi-faceted approach for valuing the ecosystem services produced by farmers and graziers
provided commodity analysis to the USDA Global Agricultural Information Network and,
created strategic plans to increase economic development in regional NSW.
Combined, my skills, experience and passion enable me to approach problems from a unique perspective and to apply strategic thinking and objective analysis to produce innovative solutions which are evidence based and logical.
